Dustin Lynch is taking country radio by storm with his latest single, "Small Town Boy," which just became his fifth-consecutive No. 1 hit.

Lynch's song is atop the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country Airplay chart for the first time. The singer is also celebrating the tune's second week at the top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

The song, which Rhett Akins, Ben Hayslip and Kyle Fishman co-wrote, is the second song released from Lynch's brand-new album, Current Mood, which came out on Sept. 8. The first two singles from the album have gone to No. 1 — "Seein' Red" was the kickoff single.

Naturally, Dustin Lynch Was a Bit of a Teenage Romeo

In a press release, Lynch addressed the success of his latest album. "This week has truly been one of the most amazing and humbling of my career," he says. "This album is incredibly personal, and for two singles to already hit No. 1 is just crazy. I can't think of a better way to welcome Current Mood than with 'Small Town Boy' being in the top spot."

Lynch played a Hurricane Harvey benefit show in Dallas on Sept. 12, giving ticket proceeds to the American Red Cross. He's also in the middle of a tour with Brad Paisley and will start his own headlining tour in November.
