Dwight Yoakam is adding "producer" to his already lengthy resume. The musician and actor has teamed up with Jack Black for a new sitcom.

According to Deadline, Belles & Whistles is a "single-camera comedy with music elements." The series is written and executive produced by Alex McAulay (Eastbound and Down), and follows an unfulfilled father who has been fired from a tech job in Silicon Valley. Now unemployed, he moves his family to Nashville, hoping to pursue his lifelong dream of being a musician.

The comedy is currently in production at Fox. In addition to Yoakam and Black, 20th Century Fox TV and Electric Dynamite are among the producers.

While Belles & Whistles may be Yoakam's first try at producing, he is far from new to television. Yoakam has appeared on television on Wilfred, Under the Dome and To Appomattox. He has also starred in films including Panic Room, Wedding Crashers and Four Christmases.

Fans of Yoakam's music need not fear that he's leaving music behind, though. This past April the singer released his 15th studio album, Second Hand Heart, and he has several tour dates lined up through early December. There's no word yet as to when Belles & Whistles will air.
