‘E’ Is for Sara Evans – Top Country Artists A to Z
Why: Steve Earle is arguably a more influential artist, but Sara Evans' record of hits and awards is too difficult to ignore. The 'Suds in the Bucket' singer has five No. 1 hits across her 15-plus year career and was the Top Female Vocalist at the 2006 ACM Awards. For a decade she was one of a handful of women capable of scoring hit after after on the radio. Add to that the sheer strength and power of her voice and you have a clear winner.
Honorable Mentions: Steve Earle, Eli Young Band and Exile.
