Even though it was listed for just a used Ford Escort less than $13 million, Trulia's records reveal Elvis Presley's one-time Beverly Hills pad sold for just $9.8 million in December 2012. The buyer still paid quite a premium to live in this historic home. A 2012 assessment only put it at $6.9 million, and similar houses in the neighborhood went for millions less.

Some of the amenities one will find in this newly redecorated home include walls of glass overlooking both the city and the ocean. There's also an attached guesthouse with four-car carport. The L.A. Times reports that the place was actually being rented for some time before hitting the market in October 2012. Monthly rent on Elvis's digs: a cool $25,000 a month.
