ToC Encore: Is George Strait the Greatest Ever?

Now that he's won Entertainer of the Year (and since he's retiring from the road) it's a good time to ask ... is George Strait the greatest country singer of all time? Of course this is only the beginning of a new lifelong argument, but Taste of Country's Billy Dukes makes the King's case for him.

Johnny, Dolly, Hank, Garth and Willie are other popular artists that top individual "greatest ever" lists. It's hard to argue Strait's resume however. Few did it at the level he has, for as long. His radio and touring successes have hardly wained since he debuted in the early '80s -- there is something to be said for longevity, right?
