Eric Church recently made his debut on 'Austin City Limits,' and Taste of Country readers can watch an exclusive clip from the performance right here.

The appearance marks Church's much-anticipated debut on the iconic program, which is in its 40th season now. 'ACL' is known for giving a platform to the most important and innovative artists in country music, and Church's cutting-edge mix of country and rock is no exception.

"Eric and his band know how to rock harder than many rock ‘n roll bands," says ACL Executive Producer Terry Lickona, "and his music and the words behind it have a way of reaching fans way beyond the usual borders of country music. He's a perfect fit for ACL."

Church's performance is set to begin airing on PBS stations all around the country on Saturday (Nov. 15). The set features a mix of hits and fan favorites, including 'Sinners Like Me,' 'The Outsiders,' 'Springsteen' and 'A Man Who Was Gonna Die Young.'

One thing the viewers at home won't get to see and hear is Church's incendiary performance of 'That's Damn Rock & Roll,' from his most recent album, 'The Outsiders.' The high-voltage track rages against the commercialization of artistic expression.

'ACL' also went behind the scenes with Church for his debut, capturing footage of the singer and his band setting up for the shoot and performing 'Smoke a Little Smoke.' Check that out in the video below.
