Country superstar Faith Hill returned with a vengeance at tonight's (Nov. 1) CMA Awards, performing 'American Heart' to a rousing ovation from the Nashville crowd.

Dressed in a white shirt and black pants, her long blonde hair flowing around her, Hill delivered a powerful rendition of the song. It's expected to be on a forthcoming album for which she has yet to announce a release date. Previously Hill performed 'Illusion' and 'Come Home' at separate television events. Those songs are also expected to be on the album.

Singing very strong over a backdrop of an American flag shaped like a heart, Hill proved that, as the song says, "You can't break an American heart."

Hill is also expected to perform with her husband, fellow superstar Tim McGraw during the all-star tribute to Willie Nelson.
