Faith Hill Wears Emotions of ‘Come Home’ for 2012 People’s Choice Awards Performance
For country music fans, Faith Hill's performance of her new song 'Come Home' was the highlight of the 2012 People's Choice Awards on Wednesday night. The singer returned to the national spotlight for just the third time in recent years, singing the song that she debuted at the CMA Awards in November.
With the emotions of the song heavy on her face, Hill immersed herself into the powerful ballad. 'Come Home' is the lead single from her still untitled new album, due out some time in 2012, and apparently it can only be performed in pant suits. Much like she did at the CMA Awards, Hill walked onto the stage wearing a high-waisted pant suit, this time in red. Long blonde hair rolled over her shoulders as smoke rolled around her ankles.
The audience gave Hill a warm welcome back to the stage, and afterward she mouthed the words "thank you" and "I love you" to fans offstage and at home. Doorways and windows floated above and around her as she sang, with artificial light pouring in from all sides. It was another flawless performance, certainly enough to get fans even more excited about the album and (fingers crossed) possible tour.
Earlier, Hill walked the red carpet in a red, sleeveless dress. Husband Tim McGraw was not at her side, however. He likely was at home making sure their daughters get to bed on time.
