Faith Hill is ready for some football. The singer has recorded new versions of her opening theme for NBC's 'Sunday Night Football.' The song 'Waiting All Day for Sunday Night' is set to the rhythm of rock Joan Jett's 'I Hate Myself for Loving You,' and it will debut before the September 11 game on NBC.

“I wait all year for 'Sunday Night,'” Hill says in the announcement. “Somehow the season wouldn’t feel the same without seeing everyone from NBC [and] 'Sunday Night Football' over the summer, when we record and film the open. It makes it feel like the wait for the season is somehow shorter.”

This will be the fifth season that Hill has provides the introduction to NBC's coverage. She and husband Tim McGraw are big fans of the Tennessee Titans. In addition to recording the new theme, Hill is currently in the studio recording what will be her first album since 2005's 'Fireflies.'

She isn't the only country singer involved with the NFL kickoff festivities. Earlier this week, it was announced that Lady Antebellum would be part of the pre-game entertainment for the 2011 NFL Kickoff Show. They'll perform before the Green Bay Packers play the New Orleans Saints on September 8 in Green Bay. The 7:30PM performance will be part of NBC's pre-game coverage.
