Farewell Angelina have released a poignant new song for Father's Day. "American Fathers" will have country music fans all over the country wiping their eyes and dialing Dad's number.

Andrea Young, Nicole Witt, Lisa Torres and Lauren Lucas trade lead vocals and bring their voices together in unison before splitting off into their signature ethereal vocal harmonies for the chorus of the beautiful tribute, singing, "We were raised by American fathers / You can do it if you think you can / All that fire in American daughters / Started in the heart of a gentleman."

"We are all daddy's girls and we all have very strong, self-made American men for fathers," Lucas told Taste of Country before Country Jam in Grand Junction, Colo. on Saturday (June 17).

It goes deeper than that however. Some lyrics are true to their story, including a line about punching a boy in the sixth grade.

"It was actually second grade," she says.

"Mine was sixth grade," Torres adds before everyone on stage and off admits to meeting a boy who deserved it.

The group also bring their instrumental abilities into play on the track, weaving their voices in and out of a rich sonic tapestry composed of acoustic guitar, mandolin and fiddle that gives them a sound like no other group in country music today.

Farewell Angelina have earned a loyal following, and they won their way into Taste of Country's RISERS alongside Brett Young, Brandon Lay, Kalie Shorr, Runaway June, Aubrie Sellers and Jacob Davis when we put them in our Hot Seat poll earlier in the year.

The harmony quartet won the fan vote by a whopping margin of more than 20,000 votes, and they joined the rest of the RISERS Class of 2017 at the RISERS taping in Nashville in February, sitting for an exclusive interview and photos and sharing another beautiful original song, "If It Ain't With You." Take a look at their RISERS appearance below.
