13 Forgettable CMA Red Carpet Fashion Moments
We watch the CMA Awards for the performances, the speeches and — go ahead, admit it — the fashion. Sometimes, country's biggest stars choose looks that are outrageous or downright ugly. Time has not been good to the outfits that make this Forgettable CMA Red Carpet Fashion Moments video.
There are a few outright bad years. 2005 was one of them, as some stars tried a little too hard to impress when the show moved to New York City. In fact, there are a few mid-'00s looks that we just can't get down with 10 years later. The men from Rascal Flatts do pretty well on a red carpet in 2016, but that one time Joe Don Rooney ripped the sleeves off his jacket? Ehh ...
Alan Jackson once tried the same thing, and you'll find him here. Trace Adkins and Kenny Chesney are a few others that make the video. Chesney, like Wynonna Judd a few years later, just seemed to have forgotten to see a tailor.
A few artists always look great, and outfits from Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and more have truly stood the test of time. Classic is always good. It's when stars take chances that they end up standing out, for better or worse.
The 2016 CMA Awards are on Nov. 2 at 8PM ET on ABC. As always, Taste of Country will recap the best and worst dressed of the year. In the meantime enjoy these outrageous looks and then watch the best from hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood!
