Garth Brooks is returning to Houston for the first time in 17 years, and he's doing it with a bang.

The country icon and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, have announced a whopping eight tour dates at the Toyota Center in Houston in June and July. The shows are set for Friday, June 26 at 7PM and 10:30PM, Saturday, June 27 at 7PM and 10:30PM, Friday, July 3 at 7PM and 10:30PM and Saturday, July 4 at 7PM and 10:30PM.

Brooks is touring for the first time in more than 15 years, supporting his latest studio album, Man Against Machine, which he released in November of 2014. The first single from the album was “People Loving People,” the kind of feel-good anthem Brooks has been known for over the years. Its second single is “Mom,” a powerful ballad. Brooks received a platinum disc for the album in January. He is featuring music from the new album in his shows and is working on another new studio project for 2015, which he has said might be a concept album.

Yearwood also has new music in the live shows. She released a new studio album, PrizeFighter: Hit After Hit, in November. Her current single is an emotional ballad titled “I Remember You,” which is in memory of her late mother and features her sister on harmony vocals.
