It's well known that Martina McBride got her start selling T-shirts on Garth Brooks' tour, but perhaps what's not as clear is how the superstar helped her later on. His video for 'The Thunder Rolls' was banned one week after it aired. Years later, McBride's video for 'Independence Day' aired without incident. "I didn't see that much difference between the two," he says. "But I think that because of the whole ugliness of what happened the first time, I think it's egotistical to do it, but I'll take pride in thinking that 'The Thunder Rolls' had something to do with that ...
