Garth Brooks is going to share the recording process for his upcoming album with fans via social media.

The country superstar kicked off the first night of his concert stand in Columbus, Ohio on Friday night (April 15), and in a Facebook live session before the show, he revealed some exciting plans for his as-yet-untitled upcoming album.

"We're gonna make a big move here in a just a little bit with Facebook," Brooks says in the video above. "We're gonna bring everybody in on the new album."

The singer says he and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, are currently finishing up their Christmas record, after which he will turn his attention to a new solo project.

"We're gonna bring you in on making this album ... songwriting sessions, everything from recording," he tells fans. "It's gonna be a blast."

Brooks released his most recent album, Man Against Machine, in late 2014. He hasn't spilled many details about its follow-up, but he has said that the next record may be a concept album.

“I’m gonna stay an album guy,” he tells Billboard. “Concept albums are really blowing my mind right now, because if you want to promote an album, think about it — a concept album might be the way to go. The great thing about albums is it gives you a lot of choices, and we can all say that the album business is dead, but watch Taylor Swift. I don’t think it’s dead. I just think we’ve got to hit on the energies that make people want to collect albums.”
