Garth Brooks has announced an upcoming concert appearance in Winnipeg. The show will mark the country superstar's first appearance there in 20 years.

Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood are confirmed to perform at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, MB on Saturday, June 18 at 7PM.

Tickets will go on sale for the Winnipeg date on May 13 at 10AM CT via Ticketmaster and Ticketmaster Express, with an eight-ticket limit per purchase. Each seat will cost a total of $79.98. If sales are anything like they were for a recent date announced in Saskatoon, it won't be the only show in Winnipeg. Brooks and Yearwood initially announced a single concert date at the SaskTel Centre for June 11, but quickly added five more concerts after tickets went on sale.

Brooks' comeback World Tour hit the road in late 2014, and it has been very successful. Pollstar named Brooks the top touring country artist for the first six months of 2015, and he also ranked No. 1 on Forbes year-end list of the highest-earning stars in country music in 2015 after taking in $90 million. Most of that money came from Brooks' live performances.

Brooks and Yearwood are working on a long-rumored Christmas album, and after that he plans to begin a new studio album. He will share the making of that project via social media.

"We're gonna bring you in on making this album … songwriting sessions, everything from recording,” he revealed in a recent Facebook chat. “It’s gonna be a blast.”
