Gary Allan's "Hangover Tonight" lyric video is simple, but it's one which fully captures the feeling and action of a wild Friday night.

The song finds fan singing along with catchy lyrics: "We’ve been hanging around this place (hanging around)/Hanging on to the hope and the way this whiskey tastes (oh yeah) / Waiting, Wising that you’d say / Hell with being sober, I wanna hangover tonight (hangover, hangover) / Feeling’s getting stronger (stronger), how can this be wrong girl / All night long, girl, I wanna hangover tonight / Feeling’s getting stronger (stronger), how can this be wrong girl / All night long, girl, I wanna hangover tonight."

And the video finds us in the bar, passing drinks around and cheers-ing with a few beers.

From the very start, Allan knew the song was a keeper.

“I’m super excited about this single going to radio," the star says. "I feel like this is the fourth or fifth time I’ve reinvented myself, or tried to push myself to do different things. I feel like I have pushed myself into a very comfortable place because it is kind of '50s and '60s Motown. It reminds me of when I did 'Runaway' and things like that. So it was a very easy thing for me to do. I was in rockabilly bands my whole life, and to me it was just a throwback to my youth writing with these guys. It was a lot of fun."

Fellow country singer Chris Stapleton provides background vocals for for the song which is now impacting radio stations across the nation. Co-written by Allan, Chris Stapleton, Jesse Frasure and Cary Barlowe, "Hangover Tonight" is the lead single from Allan's upcoming album, which will be released by MCA Nashville later this year.
