George Jones – September 2012 Country Music Birthdays
There are few octogenarians active in country music, but George Jones still has a full slate of tour dates in the month he celebrates his birthday. Jones turns 81 on Sept. 12.
While he's had some health problems, Jones has pledged to keep bringing hits like 'He Stopped Loving Her Today' to fans nationwide at least into 2013. After 50 years, he's going to call it a career.
