George Strait will become a first-time grandfather early next year. ABC News reports that Strait's son Bubba and his wife Tamara will have their first child in February. Bubba Strait has been a frequent co-writer with his dad and songwriter Dean Dillon, contributing seven songs to Strait's upcoming 'Here for a Good Time' album.

Bubba's full name is George Strait Jr., leading one to wonder if a baby boy would be named George Strait III. It's certainly a fitting title for a boy related to "The King" of country music. The 30-year-old songwriter is Strait's only son; he and wife Norma also had a daughter named Jennifer, who was killed in a car accident in 1986. Bubba Strait and Tamara were married in December.

In addition to an album of originals due in stores on September 6, Strait will have an album of his greatest hits available on September 13. 'George Strait - Icon' will feature 11 songs, including nine No. 1 hits and two fan favorites. 'Give it Away,' 'I Cross My Heart,' and 'Amarillo by Morning' are a few of the songs on the greatest hits collection.
