George Strait closed out the Hand in Hand hurricane benefit on Tuesday night (Sept. 12) with an all-star jam on two of his biggest hits.

Matthew McConaughey introduced Strait in an all-star performance with Miranda LambertChris Stapleton, Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen. The stars joined together on Strait's hit "If It Wasn't for Texas," running it into "I Believe."

Strait shared footage from rehearsals at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio on Monday (Sept. 11), showing himself and his fellow stars jamming on "All My Ex's Live in Texas,"  all dressed casually to run down the classic tune in preparation for the event on Tuesday.

Miranda Lambert Rolls up Her Sleeves Up for Hurricane Relief

The all-star jam was one of the major musical highlights of the of Hand in Hand benefit, which aired across all four major networks and CMT. The Nashville portion of the hour-long show aired live from the Grand Ole Opry, while other segments of the hour-long benefit aired from Universal Studios in California and Times Square in New York City, wrapping with Strait’s San Antonio portion.

Reese Witherspoon teamed with Keith Urban‘s wife Nicole Kidman to introduce Blake Shelton and Usher singing a duet on the classic soul hit “Stand by Me," and Brad Paisley and Darius Rucker joined Demi Lovato and CeCe Winans to perform the Beatles‘ “With a Little Help from My Friends," emulating the soulful Joe Cocker arrangement of the song.

Tim McGrawFaith Hill, former Nashville star Connie Britton, Shelton’s girlfriend Gwen Stefani and more also took part in the broadcast, which raised funds for those impacted by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.
