George Strait has just won his second Showdown in a row, and will now move on to face a challenge from none other than Kid Rock.

Strait's new single, "Let It Go," defeated the latest from Brett Eldredge, taking just over two-thirds of the vote as fans turned out to vote for King George in droves. The laid-back song talks about the virtues of letting go of your troubles and taking it easy.

Kid Rock has ventured into country before, and he's back with a new single, "First Kiss," that's a turn in a surprisingly sweet and sentimental direction for the rough-and-ready Detroit rocker. The song features acoustic guitar and pedal steel, and reinforces that underneath the attitude and marketing beats the heart of a true songwriter. But will he be able to get past Strait, or will the country king leave him in the dust?

Listen to clips of both Strait and Kid Rock’s songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Monday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Monday.
