With a new album set to hit stores early next week, George Strait is making plans to hit the road. Strait announced on Wednesday that he'll begin touring in January 2012 but didn't divulge specific cities or dates. He did reveal, however, that Martina McBride had agreed to open up for him.

"I love Martina," Strait says in a press release. "She's been on our tours before and she's great. I'm really looking forward to the tour. Martina will definitely make it a special night."

McBride also has a new album in stores this fall. 'Eleven,' featuring 'Teenage Daughters' and 'I'm Gonna Love You Through It,' is available on October 11.

Strait's 39th album, 'Here For a Good Time,' is in stores on September 6, featuring the title track, a duet with Faith Hill called 'A Showman's Life' and a total of seven songs Strait co-wrote. Early reviews indicate it's the most personal record he's recorded in quite some time. On September 13, Strait will release another greatest hits compilation.
