Chase Pair, a young man from Little Rock, Ark., who's in the process of losing his hearing, recently had a special wish granted by George Strait.

It all started in January of 2017 when Chase's mom Julie wrote a letter to Strait and his team, asking if he could meet the legendary country star before losing his hearing for good. Pair, a huge fan of the "Amarillo by Morning" legend, learned that he will eventually go deaf due to a birth defect. Strait's management team heard about the request and was able to pull off the exciting surprise, with Southwest Airlines providing complimentary roundtrip airfare.

Chase's dream came true on Saturday (April 8) when he came face to face with the country singer before his show at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Strait met with both Chase and his mother and signed a hat, calendar and person guitar pick for the Arkansas teen. The mom and son duo also received floor seats to his residency performances on Friday (April 7) and Saturday night.

"When we got up there, I shook his hand and he we got an autograph and took pictures," Chase tells KATV of the experience.

"I just told him a little bit about Chase's hearing loss and what was going on with him. To them, it's another — it's another fan, but to him it means a lot, so I want him to get his experience," adds mom Julie.

Pair attended the first set of Strait's 2017 2 Nights of No. 1s show in Vegas, where the superstar performs 60 of his No. 1 hits across two nightly performances. Cam joins Strait as the opening act during the gig, which continues on July 28-29, Sept. 1-2 and Dec. 8-9.
