George Strait ‘Troubadour’ Cover Contest Update No. 3

It's almost time for Taste of Country to announce a winner in our George Strait 'Troubadour' cover contest, which will offer fans of George Strait an amazing prize package -- including the chance to meet George Strait! The prize will also include tickets to Strait's show in Lubbock, Texas on March 26, 2011, airfare, hotel accommodations and a signed guitar.

As most readers know by now, in order to win the contest, you must submit a video of yourself singing Strait's song 'Troubadour.' All contestants must then upload their video to YouTube and send it to us folks at Taste of Country for review.

The Taste of Country staff has been busy sifting through all of the submissions, and we posted our first update a few weeks back, and our second update last week, both featuring some submissions that we've enjoyed so far. Now, we are bringing you three more standout submissions for your viewing and listening pleasure that will hopefully inspire you to film your own version for the contest!

The contestant in the first video we chose has a deep, classic sounding country voice, just like Strait himself. On the other hand, the girl in the second video we're posting puts a feminine spin on the tune by singing in a higher pitch. Lastly, the contestant in the third video has smooth country vocals with a Southern twang.
