Taste of Country is proud announce the lucky (and talented) winner of the George Strait 'Troubadour' cover contest! We'll be flying 21-year-old Randall Morris -- who tells Taste of Country he's looked up to Strait "as long as I can remember" -- from Nashville out to Lubbock, Texas, to see Strait perform live on March 26. While he's there, he'll also have the opportunity to meet Strait backstage, and he'll be getting a guitar signed by the country icon.

"I grew up with music in my family, so when I turned 15, I picked up my first guitar," an excited Morris says. "His song [Strait's 'Ocean Front Property'] was the first I ever learned. Ever since I started listening to music, he was pretty much the first thing that came on the radio."

"I have never seen him live before," Morris adds. Well, the wait is over, and this is not a bad way to kick it off!

To enter the contest, fans had to submit videos of themselves performing 'Troubadour." With the number of video submissions we received, it was truly difficult to choose a winner, but Morris won us over with his sincere, original rendition of the song. The Taste of Country staff loved watching each and every entry, so thank you to all who participated.
