The Grand Ole Opry has been a fixture in the country music community for decades, and as it tuns 90 this year, some of the genre’s biggest stars are coming together to celebrate. The Opry is hosting its birthday bash the first week of October at its home in Nashville, each day featuring concerts packed with impressive performances.

Friday, Oct. 2 will bring Little Big Town, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, Joe Diffie, Lorrie Morgan and Old Crow Medicine Show to the stage, while Carrie Underwood, Trace Adkins, Charles Esten, the Oak Ridge Boys and more will perform Saturday. The Oak Ridge Boys will be a part of a special Opry Birthday Concert at 1PM on Oct. 3.

The party will extend into the streets, as the Opry’s plaza will also be buzzing with activity, including an outdoor stage with free live music. JT Hodges will be headlining on the stage Friday evening, while stars from ABC’s Nashville will close it out the day of free music on Saturday, including Esten, Sam Palladio, Chris Carmack and Aubrey Peeples.

Attendees will also be able to go on backstage tours of the Opry, check out the show’s birthday cake and enjoy a fall day in Nashville with food on the plaza, listening to the free live performances.

Those unable catch the live show can hear Grand Ole Opry performances at opry.com and wsmonline.com, Sirius XM, Opry and WSM mobile apps, and the show’s original home, 650 AM-WSM. For more information on the Opry’s birthday bash, including outdoor performance schedules, visit the event’s website.
