Gwen Sebastian included two versions of the song 'Annie's New Gun' on her self-titled album. The last track is the duet with Miranda Lambert, a move that Sebastian says just made sense.

The former 'The Voice' contestant tells Taste of Country just how important the song is to her. "I've been doing the song live for a few years, and it's one that seems to get the crowd up on their feet," she says. "It's a party song, a girls night out kind of song."

"I love the concept of taking Annie Oakley, a strong, powerful woman concept and putting that into a song," she continues, "And then I thought, 'Who better to sing on it than Lonestar Annie?' So I talked to Miranda about that, and she came in and put her own little flavor on it."

Record label politics led to her recording it with and without Lambert. See, Sebastian may want to release the tune as a single, which gets complicated when two artists from separate labels collaborate. "There's a lot of hoops you have to go through, and you never know what will come to fruition," she explains. "So we did two versions just in case, but definitely my favorite is the one with Miranda."

'Suitcase' is Sebastian's standing single. The singer is currently on the road with Lambert, opening up the Locked and Reloaded Tour that also features Dierks Bentley.
