While there were a few shocking scandals in country music this year, there were a flurry of heartwarming moments that leave fans covered head to toe in goosebumps. Country artists opened their hearts (and wallets) to help out individuals, families, and groups in need. Which heartwarming moment did you enjoy reading about most in 2012?

Kellie Pickler makes this list twice. In June, she invited a wounded war veteran to be her date at the 2012 CMT Music Awards. A few months later, she shaved her head to show support for a friend battling breast cancer, which wowed everyone. Taylor Swift also scores two nominations for Most Heartwarming Moment of the Year, one for her tear-jerking song 'Ronan' about a remember little boy, and another for her effort to take a teen with leukemia to the 2012 ACM Awards.

Carrie Underwood made a boy's dream come true in September when she gave him a memorable first kiss. 'Idol' star Lauren Alaina surprised a boy with a brain tumor by showing up at his Homecoming dance. And over the summer, Tim McGraw joined an effort to provide 25 mortgage-free homes to wounded war veterans.
