There were comebacks, blowouts and razor thin margins of victory during the first round of voting to decide the hottest country star of 2013. Matchups for Round 2 should quickly become more intense, as the field is narrowed and the voting window is shortened. Who do you think had the best year this year?

In the men's bracket, Luke Bryan went blow for blow with a tenacious Gary Allan. The 'That's My Kind of Night' singer ended up with 54 percent of the vote after trailing early on. Elsewhere, Tim McGraw took out CMAs Entertainer of the Year nominee Jason Aldean, Jake Owen surprised Florida Georgia Line and Blake Shelton won the battle of reality show stars. The 'Mine Would Be You' singer took nearly 60 percent of the vote in his fight against Keith Urban.

The women's bracket provided even more drama. After trailing for most of the two-week voting window, Taylor Swift snuck past Sheryl Crow with just 51 percent of the vote. Carrie Underwood was never threatened in her match against the Band Perry. Danielle Bradbery made a remarkable comeback to knock Miranda Lambert out of the contest, and Kellie Pickler breezed by Kacey Musgraves.

You have just one week to vote for these Round 2 matchups. Vote once every day until the poll closes on Nov. 10, 2013 at 11:59PM ET. The semi-final round will also last one week, while the championship round will last only five days. Decide who you think had the better year and vote by clicking the buttons below.
