Showdowns don't get much tighter than Monday's. Hunter Hayes squeaked past Joe Nichols with just over 51 percent of the vote, meaning 'Invisible' moves on to a new round today and Thursday. A last minute push for Nichols' 'Yeah' wasn't enough for the three-day champion.

'Clockwork' by Easton Corbin will be the next song up. The Florida-raised crooner's new single from a new album is a sorrowful love song, or (more accurately) a love-for-a-night song. Corbin plays the role of mistreated man in this ballad, performed like he's been there before. These two songs couldn't be more different, which should make for a compelling, intense song battle.

Listen to clips of both Hayes and Corbin’s songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Friday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Friday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
