Hunter Hayes represents a new breed of country artists under 25 with majorly bright careers ahead of them. But despite the fact that Hayes himself is recognized as an amazing talent, he is still a music fan at heart.

Case in point: The look of pure joy on his face when he met a musical legend at the 2014 Grammys.

Hayes looked the part of total fanboy when he met the one and only Paul McCartney -- easily one of the most esteemed songwriters of all time -- at on Sunday night (Jan. 26). The 22-year-old rising star got his picture taken with Sir Paul and he was thrilled. He's seen giving the thumbs up, grinning ear-to-ear and shaking hands with Macca.

It appears to truly have been one of those "priceless" evenings for Hayes, who also debuted his new single 'Invisible' at the music awards ceremony. It's not every day that one hobnobs with a Beatle and shares a new song -- which, by the way, received an overwhelmingly positive response.

Wouldn't it be incredible if Hayes and McCartney eventually collaborated on something?
