Three-time Grammy nominee Hunter Hayes performed his latest single 'Somebody's Heartbreak' on 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno' on Thursday (Feb. 7) looking as poised, polished and cute as ever.

The singer, who enjoyed breakout success in 2012 on the back of his smash hit 'Wanted,' delivered an easy, breezy rendition of the lovelorn song. His black guitar was decorated with 'Faith to Fall Back On' lyrics, which were splashed across the face of the instrument in white lettering, as were the cabs and the scrims in the background on the stage.

The visuals made it feel like a Hunter Hayes show -- as opposed to an appearance on a late night talk show, where an artist is usually dropped into the middle of a set without all their normal accompanying bells and whistles.

Pay close attention about two minutes in, when Hayes knuckles down hard on his guitar. He clearly has some serious camaraderie with his axe!

The 21-year-old rising star will be playing the first-ever Taste of Country Music Festival this summer, booked June 13-15 at Hunter Mountain in New York. He'll also be at the 2013 Grammys this Sunday (Feb. 10), hopefully leaving the ceremony for Music's Biggest Night with an armful of gold statues.
