Hunter Hayes may open a few eyes with this performance of ‘You Think You Know Somebody,’ a new song from his ‘Storyline’ album. The singer turns in a passionate vocal performance, then leans back and shreds on guitar. Watch it during this Taste of Country video exclusive.

‘You Think You Know Somebody’ is an instant download when fans pre-order ’Storyline’ on iTunes. Anyone who’s already ordered Hayes’ second album will get the track instantly as well. It's another emotional song, perhaps as powerful as his current single 'Invisible.' It’s also one of the most personal and intense Hayes has ever written.

“I’m cautious to talk about it,” Hayes admits. “It’s about that moment when you really thought you knew everything about somebody. Everything was going well then all of a sudden everything just disappears. It’s that really hard moment of when you’re whole life changes, instantly.”

‘Storyline’ will be released on May 6. The singer's self-titled debut album produced multiple No. 1 hits with an encore edition including hit songs 'I Want Crazy' and 'Everybody's Got Somebody But Me.' The 2012 CMA New Artist of the Year is currently on the We’re Not Invisible Tour with Danielle Bradbery and Dan + Shay.
