Jake Owen Tries Planking on His Tour Buses

When Jake Owen isn't on stage rocking 'Barefoot Blue Jean Night' for the ladies, he's catching up with the latest trends. During a Boston concert stop on the Get Closer Tour with Keith Urban on July 8, Owen tried his hand at 'planking' in the most dangerous way.

"In Boston... Planking my a-- off," Owen tweeted Friday, including a photo of himself laying flat across two tour buses. Planking, also dubbed the 'lying down game,' is pretty simple. As demonstrated by Mr. Owen above, planking involves lying face down in an unusual spot and having someone shoot a photo of you, which in turn ends up on the internet for all to see.

Weird? Definitely, and maybe even a bit childish, but it's clear Owen sees the humor in the life's simple pleasures. Celebrities are far from exempt from the latest trends circulating on the web, and Owen is not the first star name to try a crazy plank. Actresses like Rosario Dawson, Kristen Bell and Ellen Page have been seen face down in a crazy spot, and musicians Justin Bieber and Katy Perry have tried their hand at it, too.

We have to say, though, that Jake Owen's double-bus plank takes the cake!
