As a touring country artist, Jake Owen has long known that he has a steady base of fans interested in his music. But the 'Alone With You' singer didn't fully comprehend just how interested those fans would be in every detail of his private life, including his proposal, engagement and the engagement ring he gave to fiancee Lacey Buchanan.

"A lot of people really wanted to know about [the proposal], how it went down and everyone wanted an interview," Owen told ABC News Radio. "That's all great, but I wanted to be normal for a minute. I always thought I was normal until that moment."

Now that he's fully aware of how not "normal" he is, Owen seems to be appropriately private about the details of his wedding. Describing the impending affair, he says they'll make the leap sometime relatively soon and that they'll probably just have a ceremony on the beach somewhere.

"No shoes, and I'll probably just be laid back in casual clothes, and she'll be in her pretty dress, and we'll have just immediate family and call it a day," he spilled of their plans. While that explanation may not satiate the most detail-driven fans, it doesn't look like Owen's going to be listing off the intricate interworkings of his planned attire for the day, what type of cake they'll be selecting or whether or not they're using a flower girl. Hey, you've got to give it to him for sharing so much of their story in the past few weeks. After all, he did publicly propose.

"My life has always been about keeping things simple, and I don't see either one of us spending a long time planning a wedding," he dished to Country Weekly. "We are both from Florida, so we are thinking it will be a cool, laid-back sunrise service on the beach. We might have a guy playing a little nylon-string guitar or something. I bet our wedding doesn’t last for more than 10 or 15 minutes. We love the idea of starting the day fresh . . . a dawn-of-a-new-day sort of deal."
