It's a beautiful baby girl for Jamie Lynn Spears and hubby Jamie Watson. Ivey Joan Watson was born at 10:02AM Louisiana time on Wednesday (April 11), weighing 7 lbs., 8 oz. Ivey joins 9-year-old sister Maddie. Spears shared the news with People, admitting that they're pretty delighted by baby girl's arrival.

“We are beyond excited to welcome this beautiful baby girl to our family!” Spears says. "Her middle name, Joan, is to honor my Aunt Sandra, who passed away 10 years ago from ovarian cancer. She was the most graceful woman I’ve ever known.”

Ivey’s birth is a welcome piece of good news for Spears and family. Fans may recall that the family suffered trauma back in January 2017, when Maddie (daughter of Spears and her previous boyfriend Casey Aldridge) was involved in an ATV accident on the family’s property in Louisiana. Various reports at the time of the accident indicated that the ATV that Maddie was riding in flipped and rolled into a pond. After being submerged for several minutes, Maddie was rescued by emergency crews and recuperated in a hospital for nearly a week before returning home.

Maddie has since fully recovered. Spears shared her baby news in December 2017, announcing via Instagram that "Maddie is FINALLY going to be a big sister." Baby Ivey is sure to be surrounded by love from her aunt, pop singer Britney Spears, as well.

Jamie Lynn Spears released her first country single "How Could I Want More" in 2013 and followed it up with the release of her EP The Journey. She was also a co-writer on Jana Kramer's mega-hit "I Got the Boy."
