Jana Kramer will be adding another notch to her acting belt, as she recently signed on to appear in a new indie music drama called Country Crush.

Though the artist has made a name for herself in the music circuit, viewers took notice of Kramer on the WB’s drama One Tree Hill, and she has since also scored roles in 90210, Entourage and the movies Click and Prom Night.

The singer/actress will play Katherine Bishop, a wife and young mother who is also the sister-in-law of Charlie Bishop, the male lead. The drama follows a young woman, Nancy Taylor, in transit from New York City to a country party and her journey of falling for Charlie along the way, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

But fret not, Kramer music fans, as the artist has no plans to give up her career in the country music world.

“I love acting, but my heart and soul is in singing,” Kramer says “I’ve been terrified to pursue this dream because it’s so personal to me. If someone tells me they don’t like my voice, it’s a lot harder of a hit to take. This is what I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve wanted to do music my entire life.”

The 31-year-old beauty continues to make waves with her second single off her upcoming sophomore album, "I Got the Boy," for which she released the music video in April.

It's not known when Country Crush will make its debut.
