The first-ever Dancing With the Stars face-off pitted Jana Kramer against Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, with one star earning immunity. Each danced the jive, and each failed to amaze the judges.

Kramer's jive with Gleb Savchenko was good enough to guarantee her a spot on Week 4 of the ABC reality show. The pair's energetic dance to Bette Midler's "Too Many Fish in the Sea" scored a 26 — judges didn't provide feedback on this night, as the show was truncated to one hour due to the presidential debates.

Babyface earned a 25 for his routine to Little Richard's "Great Gosh a'Mighty." The producer may still earn a spot in next week's competition — only one of the "losers" from Monday night (Sept. 26) will be sent home on Tuesday (8PM ET). Both Rick Perry and Vanilla Ice earned scores of 23, but since they were facing off, the rapper was declared safe. Other winners from the night include James Hinchcliffe, Calvin Johnson, Maureen McCormick and Laurie Hernandez.

Thus far Kramer's scores have been middle-of-the-pack. During last week's first week of elimination, she danced the tango and was never in danger of going home. She finished the night be spending time with her daughter Jolie and tweeting with fans. Tuesday night is typically a stressful recap night for all contestants, but the "I Got the Boy" singer will be able to enjoy it knowing she's safe no matter what happens.

The 32-year-old is the sixth country singer to perform during Dancing With the Stars' 23 seasons. Kellie Pickler is the only winner of the group, with most bowing out early or midway through the competition.
