Jana Kramer admits that it's hard being a newly-single mom to a 7-month-old, but she and her daughter Jolie Rae are making a go of it.

The country singer split from her husband of 15 months, Michael Caussin, recently, a source close to the couple told  Entertainment Tonight in August. The anonymous insider said the “Circles” singer is “devastated,” and added that she is “trying to put on a brave face and do what’s best for her daughter.”

Kramer was recently announced as a cast member for Season 23 of Dancing With the Stars, and she says juggling that, her music career and being a mom is challenging.

“It’s definitely hard just because we’re so busy with rehearsals and being on tour and also wanting to spend time with Jolie,” Kramer tells People.

The country singer and actor hopes to be an example to other single mothers. “I’m trying to manage it the best that I can and show single moms out there that we can do it,” she says. “We can do it all, hear us roar.”

Kramer and Caussin met on Twitter and married in May of 2015. It was Kramer’s third marriage and Caussin’s first. She was engaged to country singer Brantley Gilbert in 2013, before their wedding plans were called off that August. Before that, Kramer was briefly married to Michael Gambino in 2004, and to actor Johnathon Schaech in 2010.

Kramer and Caussin welcomed Jolie Rae in January of 2016. She is their only child. The "Circles" singer has not publicly addressed the reasons behind their breakup, but she appeared to allude to it in an interview with Chelsea Handler that taped the day news of their split broke.

“It wasn’t until I was 30 that I was like, ‘I don’t need any more bulls–t in my life,’” she said. “I was in bad situations in my 20s and now in my 30s, I’m like, ‘you know what, I’m stronger, I respect myself more to put myself in better situations than I did in my 20s."
