Jason Aldean has had an interesting couple of years when it comes to his personal life, but on Sunday (Aug. 10), the singer decided he'd had enough of the criticism, taking to his official Instagram page to defend his relationship with Brittany Kerr.

It's been nearly two years since the 'Burnin' It Down' singer was seen kissing the 'American Idol' alum while he was still married. But although the two have happily moved on -- they've been publicly dating since early 2014 -- Aldean is frustrated that many can't seem to do the same.

After posting the above photo of he and his girlfriend with a puppy, the superstar country singer received a slew of negative comments about his relationship that he just couldn't ignore.

"You know my name, not my story. You've hear what I've done, not what I've been through," a meme posted Sunday reads. But it was the caption Aldean shared along with it that really targeted the issue.

Writes Aldean:

"So sick of people judging me and @brittanylkerr over things they know nothing about. I have made mistakes but I am a better person because of it, and wouldn't change a thing. I'm happier than I have ever been, so thank u to all the people who support us. We are happy and life goes on. It's time to move on people. #aldeanarmy #oldnews #timetomoveon"

It's been more than a year since Aldean filed for divorce from ex-wife Jessica Ussery in April 2013, and it's clear he's ready to put the past behind him. Thankfully, he's got plenty of good to focus on. In addition to his happy new relationship, the singer is currently in the middle of his 2014 Burn It Down Tour with Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr. He'll release a new album this fall.
