Jason Aldean's upcoming tour is one of the hottest tickets of 2016, and it just got even hotter. The country superstar sold out a gig at Boston's massive Fenway Park in less than two hours on Friday (April 22).

Aldean is set to perform at the stadium on Sept. 9 as part of his Six String Circus Tour, which kicks off in May and runs through the beginning of October. He'll be joined on the Boston date by Kid Rock.

“It was really cool to go over and play Australia for the first time last month, but there’s nothing like shows at home,” Aldean said in announcing the tour. “I’m looking forward to Kid Rock meeting up with us in Boston, we’ve played each other’s shows and been friends for awhile, so actually getting to do a full night together somewhere as iconic as Fenway Park is going to be a huge. The guys and I are ready to get back out there for the summer in the amphitheaters. That’s always a party waiting to happen with us!”

Aldean was the first country artist ever to perform at Fenway Park, and he previously broke attendance records for the venue set by Paul McCartney and the Dave Matthews Band. Tickets for his Sept. 9 gig were completely sold out within 90 minutes of going on sale Friday morning.

The newly-crowned ACM Entertainer of the Year recently released a new single, "Lights Come On," which he debuted on the ACM Awards broadcast. It's the lead single from his upcoming seventh studio album, which is slated for release in the summer of 2016.

Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses will join Aldean on the remaining dates of the Six String Circus Tour.
