Jason Aldean will hit the 'American Idol' stage with Kelly Clarkson next week to perform their hit duet, 'Don't You Wanna Stay.'

The pair's collaborative tune is currently sitting pretty at No. 3 on Billboard's country chart, after enjoying a multi-week stay at No. 1.

'Don't You Wanna Stay' is Clarkson's country debut, and she couldn't have picked a better partner. The song -- which appears on Aldean's 2010 'My Kinda Party' album -- marks chart-topper No. 5 for the singer, following his title track hit 'My Kinda Party.' Aldean is currently riding strong on a new single, 'Dirt Road Anthem,' though the Clarkson duet has not yet seen its last day. As of late, it is transcending genres to climb the Top 40 charts.

Clarkson will undoubtedly receive a warm welcome when she returns to the 'Idol' stage, as the pop-gone-country singer laid the groundwork for the show after she won in its initial season, way back in 2002.

Aldean and Clarkson will appear on the April 14 results show episode, as will R&B superstar Rihanna, who performed alongside Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles at the ACMs last weekend.
