Jason Aldean started off his 2011 CMT Music Awards 'Dirt Road Anthem' performance slow and steady, but when the rapping started and Ludacris came out, all hell broke loose in Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.

Luda maintained his natural cool with a pair of shades as he walked through the crowd of waving arms to join Aldean at the stage for the final performance of the evening.

Like a true star, the famed rapper had everyone waving their arms in unison, and prompted Aldean's final chorus -- even ad-libbing some new lines of his own. After seeing Luda pull in the country fans with little effort, we think we'd better warn Aldean that he could have some competition. We aren't afraid to say it: The rapper may have stole the show from the country rapper/singer.

Naturally, it wasn't the end of the night until Aldean delivered his signature hit, 'My Kinda Party,' which summed up the rockin' evening as the credits rolled across the screen.
