After Carrie Underwood snagged the 2012 American Country Award for Best Female Artist, Dustin Lynch and actress Carmen Electra stepped up to bring Jason Aldean to the performance stage. Aldean performed 'The Only Way I Know' in front of bright lights and a lively five-piece band.

On his 'Night Train' album 'The Only Way I know' is a triple threat collaboration between Aldean, Luke Bryan and Eric Church -- three of the most popular stars in country music today. However Aldean sang the tune without the help of his friends after performing with the two of them at the Country Music Awards a few weeks ago. Church wasn't on hand, but Bryan was there, in fact he opened the Fox broadcast.

Aldean proved his voice and stage presence are so strong that he doesn't really need any back-up. Thanks to the help of an energetic group of musicians, he pulled off a solo performance of 'The Only Way I Know' without a hitch.

The country superstar's performance came shortly after he snagged the award for Touring Artist of the Year. Aldean was also nominated at the ACAs for Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year: Male, Single of the Year and Single of the Year: Male for 'Tattoos on This Town' and Song of the Year for 'Fly Over States' and 'Tattoos on This Town.'
