Super hot country star Jason Aldean put the cherry on an extremely successful year of live performing by winning Touring Artist of the Year at the 2012 American Country Awards on Monday (Dec. 10).

Fellow country stars Lee Brice, Casey James and Jana Kramer presented the award, which pitted Aldean against Eric Church, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert and Brad Paisley.

"I couldn't win an award that means more to me," Aldean said, holding up his guitar trophy (yes, they're still handing out actual guitars as statues -- how are the winners supposed to get those to fit on their shelves?). He thanked the fans who have supported his live shows. "You guys have not let us down ... that means more to me than anything," he stated.

Aldean should get used to the sound of lots of screaming fans. The first leg of his 2013 Night Train Tour includes some of the largest venues in the country, and he sold out two stadium dates immediately when they went on sale at University of Georgia’s Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga., Boston’s Fenway Park and Wrigley Field in Chicago.
