Jason Michael Carroll's fans have carried him to another round of the Showdown. His new single just defeated the latest from Sam Hunt, and he's now facing a challenge from Sandra Lynn.

Carroll's fans supported the release of his new studio album, What Color Is Your Sky, by crowdfunding it, and they turned out in droves for his latest song, "God Only Knows," which is a searing confession of personal weakness and a cry for forgiveness. The track has a gritty realism about it that serves the subject matter well.

Lynn's new single could not be a sharper contrast. In "Bar Hoppin,'" she shows that country women can keep up with the boys during a night out full of drinking and flirting, all set to a very contemporary, slickly-produced track that features a unique whistling hook. Will she be able to get past Carroll's fans, or is he headed for another Showdown?

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
