Country music's teddy-bear sweetheart with 'The Voice,' Jeff Jenkins, delivered a typically emotional reading of Carrie Underwood's 'Jesus Take the Wheel' on tonight's episode of the TV singing competition.

Without the help of people swinging flaming balls on chains, or any of the tricks the other competitors employed, Jenkins simply stayed in one place and sang the song ... pretty well. We thought he was a bit screechy on a part or two, but maybe we're wrong, because the coaches seemed to love it.

For example, take judge Christina Aguilera, who gushed, "It was beautiful, Jeff, it really really was," before asking if the song had special meaning for Jenkins and his tragically-departed mother.

Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton were apparently off sharing a whiskey somewhere, so the only other person who commented was Jenkins' coach, Adam Levine. He raved, "I completely forgot about the fact that this was a competition. You did it again man, you really did."

So, the live audience was sold, and so were the coaches. The question now, and we won't know the answer 'til next week, is what will the voting public decide? Tune in next week to find out!
