Jennifer Hudson, the former 'American Idol' contestant who has become famous for her powerful voice, has cut a cover of Brooks and Dunn's 'Believe' for her forthcoming album, 'I Remember Me.'

Hudson's music tends to have a soulful R&B feel to it, and Hudson tells Entertaiment Weekly that she chose to record Brooks and Dunn's 'Believe' because of its inspiring quality. "It has a gospel inspirational feel," Hudson says of the song. "It made the album feel complete."

The chorus of 'Believe' is particularly moving, with lyrics that read, "I raise my hands, bow my head / I'm finding more and more truth in the words written in red / They tell me that there's more to life than just what I can see / Oh I believe."

Hudson continues, "I sang it for Brooks and Dunn at their farewell concert and I fell in love with the song that night. I had to have it on the album and I sent my whole team on a mission to get it. Luckily, we were successful and I was able to record it and really put the Jennifer Hudson spin on it."

It will be exciting to see how Hudson translates the song to her own style. 'I Remember Me' is set for release on March 22.
