Pitbull remixed Jerrod Niemann's 'Drink to That All Night,' but the two aren't through working with each other. The country singer revealed he'll be filming a music video with the rapper this week.

“It’s definitely out of my realm,” Niemann tells Taste of Country Nights host Sam Alex. “At least I think it is, I'm hoping it’s not a stunt double,” he adds joking. Don't look for the 'Donkey' singer to dress hip-hop however.

"I think I'll just stick to Beetle Bailey," he says, cracking on his familiar look.

Speaking of 'Donkey,' Niemann tells Taste of Country Nights how the song came about in the video above. He was hanging out with buddy Josh Thompson at the Tin Roof in Nashville, and a songwriter (David Tolliver) came up and said, "Hey I have this song."

When he told Niemann its title was 'Donkey,' he retorted, "What are you trying to say? Are you trying to say that I'm ... a donkey?" The 34-year-old continues, "He sent me the song and I didn't know what to think -- it was crazy, I thought it was hilarious. I just started listening to it on the bus and putting it on these playlists and people would stop every time it came on. And so we always had fun with it."

“Obviously country music was built on amazing songs like ‘Chisled in Stone’ and ‘He Stopped Loving Her Today,’ but not every song has to rip your heart out,” Niemann says. “Sometimes it’s okay just to tap your foot and laugh a little bit.”

Sam Alex is the host of Taste of Country Nights radio, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 50 Townsquare Media Group stations nationwide.
