Craig Morgan's 19-year-old son Jerry Greer drowned, according to the results of an autopsy made available on Monday (Oct. 17). Greer disappeared while tubing behind a boat on Kentucky Lake on July 10, 2016.

The toxicology report was also revealed, showing that Greer tested positive for marijuana and a low level of alcohol, the Tennessean reports. The Humphreys County Assistant Medical Examiner has officially determined that the cause of death was accidental drowning.

Greer, a recent high school graduate who had planned on attending college in the fall, was wearing a life jacket when an inner-tube he was riding on flipped. It's not clear why the life jacket did not cause him to surface immediately. His body was not found until 30 hours after he went under, at approximately 9PM on July 11.

"Jerry may be gone from this earth, and we will miss him every day, but his spirit will live on in our hearts," Morgan said after the accident. "We will find peace knowing that God has a bigger plan, and that one day, we’ll be reunited with him again in Heaven. John 3:16.”

Greer was one of four children to the singer and wife Karen. Father and son were described as being very close, and Jerry had appeared on Morgan's television show Craig Morgan All Access Outdoors on the Outdoor Channel. Morgan took a break from touring after the accident, but has since resumed his touring schedule. This month he'll begin the American Stories Tour with Mac Powell and veterans of the U.S. Military. Morgan is a former Army Ranger with his like "That's What Love About Sunday" and "Bonfire."
