Country pop starlet Jessie James had quite an exciting April Fool's Day weekend, and to top everything off, she never had to hear those day-changing 'gotcha' words. The 'When You Say My Name' singer got engaged this past weekend, and despite the mischief-inducing day, this was no joke.

James' sweetheart, Denver Broncos receiver Eric Decker, popped the question, and James must have immediately said yes, because the two hit Twitter not long after to announce their new status to their fans. Later, after an onslaught of encouragement and congratulations, James tweeted, "Thank you all so much for the congrats on our engagement. We are blessed to have found each other and to have supporters like you all."

Though the two are in entirely different arenas with their sports and music careers, both James and Decker know what it's like to have fans -- and they're keeping those fans happy by including them in recent ongoings in their relationship. Now there will be even more juicy details, as the couple plans a wedding and nails down all of the details for that.

James, a Show Dog Universal artist, released her self-titled debut in 2009. Since then, she's put out two singles -- 'Boys in the Summer' in 2010 and then her latest, 'When You Say My Name' earlier this year. While the singer-songwriter has country chops for sure, she's also got a good bit of pop in her voice that makes her better able to straddle the genre line.
